Jayson Brown Returns Strong

Celtics Rout Mavericks 107-89 in Game 1 of NBA Finals Behind Brown's Return

Jayson Brown Returns Strong

Jayson Brown made a triumphant return to the lineup for the Boston Celtics in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, leading his team to a commanding 107-89 victory over the Dallas Mavericks.

Porzingis' Absence Felt

The absence of Kristaps Porzingis was a major blow to the Mavericks, as the Latvian big man is one of their most important players. Without Porzingis, the Mavericks struggled to keep up with the Celtics' high-powered offense.

The Celtics took control of the game early, building a 12-point lead in the first quarter. They extended their lead to 20 points in the second quarter and never looked back.

Brown led the way for the Celtics with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 23 points and 8 rebounds, while Marcus Smart chipped in with 22 points.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 23 points and 11 rebounds, but he was limited to just 7-of-21 shooting from the field.

The Celtics now have a 1-0 lead in the series. Game 2 will be played on Sunday night in Dallas.
